Project Overview:

P1C AR - Industrial Panel Training and Visualization App

Objectives:

Transform the way users interact with industrial panels: visualize, manipulate, learn and train in augmented reality, taking the learning and design experience to a new level.

Scope of Work:

1. Conceptualization and Planning:

  • Collaborated with stakeholders to define the app's primary goal: to provide an interactive AR platform for industrial panel training and visualization.
  • Conducted research on AR technologies (ARFoundation, ARKit for iOS and ARCore for Android) to ensure a seamless and immersive experience.
  • Defined the user flow, focusing on ease of use and intuitive navigation for both training and product visualization purposes.

2. Design and Prototyping:

  • Designed a clean and user-friendly interface (UI) that aligns with industrial standards and ensures a professional look and feel.
  • Created interactive prototypes to simulate the AR experience, including panel manipulation, zoom, rotation, and information display.
  • Incorporated a training mode with step-by-step instructions and interactive guides to help users understand industrial panel configurations.

3. Development and Integration:

  • Developed the app using Unity3D and C#, leveraging Vuforia Engine, ARFoundation, ARKit for iOS and ARCore for Android to enable AR functionalities.
  • Implemented core features, including:
    • AR Product Placement: Users can place 3D models of industrial panels in their real-world environment.
    • Interactive Manipulation: Users can rotate, zoom, and move panels to examine them from different angles.
    • Training Modules: Integrated digital training content to guide users through panel setup and configuration.
  • Optimized the app for performance, ensuring smooth AR experiences on a wide range of devices.

4. Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Conducted extensive testing across multiple devices to ensure compatibility and performance.
  • Tested AR functionalities in various environments to validate accuracy and reliability.
  • Gathered feedback from beta testers to refine the app's features and improve usability.

5. Deployment and Maintenance:

  • Successfully deployed the app to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, adhering to platform-specific guidelines.
  • Provided post-launch support, including bug fixes and updates to ensure compatibility with new device models and OS versions.
  • Monitored user feedback and analytics to identify areas for improvement and future enhancements.

Key Achievements:

  • Delivered a high-quality AR app that enhances industrial training and product visualization, similar to the functionality of IKEA Place.
  • Ensured cross-platform compatibility, making the app accessible to a wide range of users.
  • Demonstrated expertise in AR development, UI/UX design, and interactive training module integration.
